    You'll find southern Scotland is an easy drive from most cities in the north of England and central Scotland. Both main arterial routes, the M74 and the A1 run right through the area and the main euro-route linking Ireland to the rest of Europe, the A75 runs accross the region linking with the M74 near Carlisle.
